Days To Maturity: 90 days
Keep weeds under control during the growing season. Weeds compete with plants for water, space and nutrients, so control them by either cultivating often or use a mulch to prevent their seeds from germinating.
Pumpkins do require a lot of food and a long growing season (generally from 75 to 100 frost-free days) they need to be planted by late May in northern locations to early July in extremely southern states of the USA.
Do not plant this tender vegetable until all danger of frost has passed and the soil is warmed, as the seedlings will be injured or rot.
In general, pumpkins are easy to maintain if you have the space.
