Violas produce bright and prolific flowers early in the season. It is a biennial, meaning that it puts on vegetative growth the first year, flowers the second, and then dies. However, this species tends to self-seed and so will be a prolific bloomer for years to come in the garden if allowed. Varieties available in 10" baskets this year include: Endurio Blue Yellow with Purple Wing, Endurio Yellow with Purple Wing, Endurio Sky Blue Martien, Endurio Pink Shades, Sorbet XP Yellow Pink Jump Up, Sorbet XP Pink Halo, Sorbet XP Yellow Blotch Improved, and a combination of Sorbet XP Deep Orange, Sorbet XP White, and Sorbet XP Yellow.
Violas like sun and part sun locations. Fertilize with all purpose mix during the blooming season and cut back spent flowers to promote more flower growth. These flowers can be transplanted in a sun or part sun location with plenty of organic matter and allowed to self seed.
