Flower Record is deep violet with orange anthers and white throat. It has big six-petaled, 5" tall flowers that open and close on sunny days, and grass like foliage with narrow silver-white stripes. They may be a target for squirrels that may dig up newly planted bulbs for a snack, or for tansplant elsewhere. Bloom time is early spring and long lasting. They naturalize readily in well draining soil and full to partial sunlight.
Use moderately fertile, well drained soil. Allow soil to dry between watering. Plant 5" deep and 4" apart.
