Mesa Bright Bicolor Gaillardia produce intense yellow daisy-like flowers with overlapping petals that feature a red band on the inside surrounding a large brown cone atop bright green stems. The width of the red band depends on the temperature, however, the petals will be more bright yellow than red. The Gaillardia performs best in areas that receive full sun in any combination planter, bordering a garden flower bed or as a cut flower in a bouquet. Low maintenance. Heat tolerant.
Plant in well-drained soil. Water regularly. Keep soil surface moist but not soggy. Fertilize once or twice a week. Remove faded or dead flowers to prolong blooming all the way into fall.
