Hot Lips Salvia produce airy stalks of petite two-toned flowers that vary depending on the temperature atop feathery bright green foliage. The upper hood of the bloom is clear white while the pouched lower lip remains cherry red; Hot Lips. The bicolor Salvia performs best in areas that receive full sun in order to return year after year. Plant in well-drained soil. Water regularly. Keep soil surface moist but not soggy. Fertilize once or twice a week. Remove faded or dead flowers to prolong blooming all the way into Fall then returning the show in early Summer.
