Due to its more dwarf nature, Jester is a little more ‘container friendly’ than Purple Majesty. Garden height is about 75% of Purple Majesty, with wider leaves and more basal branching. Foliage color changes as the plants develop. Young leaves are chartreuse, while mature foliage becomes dominantly burgundy, especially in full sun. As flower spikes develop, plants end the season with nearly the same bronze-purple color as Purple Majesty
Plant 12 inches apart in a full sun location. Keep evenly moist. Feed monthly with a balanced fertilizer. Compact habit is excellent in container combinations.
